Colin Trusedell is one of the most versatile upright and electric bass players in the United States in the field of jazz, fusion, pop and rock music. He is also an active writer, arranger, bandleader and entrepreneur.
Trusedell’s award-winning recordings have been lauded in publications all over the world as he has steadily advanced his musical career in the United States and abroad. His projects have been featured in Downbeat, Jazz Times, All About Jazz, Bass Magazine, NoTreble, Bass Musician Magazine, Bass Quarterly, and ArtistXite. In 2024, he won his first Global Music Award in the category of contemporary jazz. Colin has extensive touring experience with the U.S. Navy Band Northeast, U.S. Air Force Band of Mid America, and the U.S. Air Force Academy Band, performing nationally and internationally with appearances on NBC’s Today Show, Fox & Friends, the Montel Williams Show, and ESPN’s SportsNation. He has had the privilege to perform concerts with the Boston Pops Symphony Orchestra, Said El Artist, Bill Watrous, Tierney Sutton, Alan Vizzutti, and Dick Oats. Colin runs a national booking agency called MyShowsLive and runs his own record label, MyShowsLive Records. He is also the host for the "Colin Trusedell Jazz Jam," a radio podcast available online interviewing renowned artists such as Peter Erskine, Funky Knuckles, Emmet Cohen, Adam Nitti, Ari Hoenig, and PALO!
